Our Story
Get to know us
Every story starts somewhere so here’s our origin
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic that gripped the world with fear and uncertainty, we, as students, were left feeling utterly helpless. We decided to take action and participate in a competition that aimed to combat one of the biggest threats to our planet - climate change. As we delved deeper into the challenge, we stumbled upon a dire problem. Our co-founder, Miraal, who grew up in Oman, had witnessed first-hand the devastating impact of camels spreading diseases through unpasteurized milk.
It didn't take long for us to realize that this issue extended far beyond the Middle East and was a global concern. We knew we had to act, and so we did. With unwavering determination and a clear goal in mind, we presented our solution - the first version of our pasteurization handle - at the competition. Against a staggering 1000 teams, we won first place!
Our success was no small feat, as the competition was sponsored by prestigious organizations such as WHO, UNICEF, and the Royal House of Commons. The win served as a turning point, and we were encouraged to bring our solution to life. And thus, our mission was born - to create a better, more equitable future for East Africa by enhancing the lives and livelihoods of its people. Our dedication to this cause is stronger than ever, and we are fully committed to making a real difference.
